There
are so many places to see around Fuengirola that we can't
possibly list them all but here are some of the ones we've
been to and enjoyed. These are just some of our suggestions
and you need to book them yourself. They can be easily booked
in the town centre and details can be found in your apartment.

Mijas
- one of the prettiest, most typical Andalucian villages
perched up high on the mountainside just a bus ride away.
Lovely whitewashed houses, fantastic views, bull ring and
some great shops.
Gibraltar
- see the Rock of Gibraltar which marks the position
of the Strait of Gibraltar and separates Europe from Africa.
Lots to see and do in a day including the Barbary Apes,
a cable car ride to the top of the Rock, guided tours, caves,
castle and of course tax free shopping.

Alhambra
(Granada) - On a hill overlooking Granada is a palace/citadel
called the Alhambra. With high ramparts, defensive towers,
royal and military quarters, baths, a mosque and beautiful
gardens, the guided tours are excellent. The palaces inside
have walls covered in the most beautiful moorish alabaster
stencils that really have to be seen to be believed. Very
popular place to visit, you need to book a few days in advance
to go here but should definitely be one of your top places
to see.

Morocco
- a one or two day trip to Tangier by coach and ferry
to Morocco. A guide around the Kasbah, the stalls, an authentic
dinner, visit a spice and carpet centre and see all the
sights and scents of Tangier.. don't miss this trip!
Ronda
- steeped in history, is one of Andalucia's loveliest
towns and is dominated by the famous El Tajo gorge. It has
the oldest bullring in Spain and many beautiful buildings.
The drive up to Ronda winds up through the mountains of
the Sierra Bermeja and is really worth seeing!
